Dependable as a superstore should be with over a thousand actual store locations. They have a 90 day return policy which is longer than most stores and they have a wide range of products.
Target doesn’t have too many microphones, mostly headsets and cell phone accessories. The prices are generally fair, but with a little digging, you can sometimes find much better deals at other stores.
Target doesn’t have a great selection of microphones, but if you need a mic for your phone, computer or camera, they have a lot of choices. With an extreme range of products, it might be the only place where you can buy Sony stereo camcorder mic and a jeweled Isaac Mizrahi collar for your dog.
Ever since the new round of Target advertising campaigns took hold of our psyches a few years back, the store has emerged as a force to be reckoned with. It is kind of thought of as a sophisticated department store and they actually peddle quite a few models of multimedia microphones at their site. The microphone inventory is mainly limited to headsets, phone, computer and camera accessories and there is nothing suitable for studio use here. It is however, a good for portable noise canceling headsets and game/karaoke microphones. They have a reasonably large variety of those and at fairly good prices.
