Drum Microphone

WHY Drum Microphone?

Fancy condensers can make a tom or kick drum sound great and are excellent for overheads, but the tried and true drum mics are strong dynamic microphones like the SM57 for snare drums and the AKG D112 for Kick Drums.  Audix, Shure, AKG and a few more make drum mic packages.  These usually include dedicated mics for the kick, snare, toms and maybe hat and some overs.
