Computer Microphones

In order to record audio directly into a PC or make phone calls over the internet, a computer microphone is necessary. Many computers have microphones built-in, but there are several external options available that plug directly into the computer’s soundcard. Desktop microphones and headsets are the most common computer microphones attaching to PCs via USB or eighth inch connectors. Although most microphones can be adapted for computer use with the proper cabling, computer microphones are physically designed with long necks and headsets for multimedia use and are ideal for gaming and teleconferencing.  The sound quality is dependent on the type of microphone as well as the variety of soundcard.
